Get an ERP Solution Provider to Guarantee Work. It's easier than you think.
Small and Mid-Sized companies are always lacking resources. Owners or manager normally do not possess the technical experience or time to develop a deep understanding of what ERP Solution is best for them. Next, it is natural for owners to be cost sensitive when looking for solutions, computers or technology providers.
Here’s the issue: Not possessing technical expertise and being cost sensitive can be contradictory and counterproductive.
Why? People who own their business tend to want to do things themselves and end up doing too much to the exclusion of something they should be doing… Growing, marketing and managing their business.
Here's how an ERP Solution Provider should guarantee their work and help their client succeed.
1) Evaluate your business operations, technical proficiencies, personnel, volume and complexity of transactions and growth requirements. Just like a doctor, you tell a story about what’s happening and he will begin to recommend a course of action. To receive the best results do this early and if necessary hire an expert to perform the evaluation.
2) During the selection process the consultant should provide choices rather than a single solution. This causes bias in their opinion and limits your visibility into other systems of greater or equal value.
3) The consultant should prove the ability of any system they recommended and demonstrate the functionality of your most critical operations through that system.
4) An ERP Solution provider should be willing to apply some of the cost of a system that is not working as designed or planned toward a new solution they work with that could be a better fit for your organization.
